Question: Has anyone used Everest Markets as a broker?

I want to start Forex trading and I’m looking at trading with Everest Markets, has anyone tried them out?

Answer:

If you are in the US, the government regulating agency for forex is the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission). Research any firm there.

While on the CFTC site, read their warning about “Foreign Currency Trading Frauds”. Link below.

A novice forex trader is a lamb among wolves. The pros will quickly take your money.

Q&A: Which broker has a good options trading platform?

Question: Which broker has a good options trading platform?

Currently I dabble in stocks and forex and enjoy trading. I am looking to get into options trading and need a good broker with a nice platform that has a fairly easy learning curve, but still leaves some fun stuff for the advanced user. I am looking for a broker that offers commodities such as gold, silver, platinum. If they offer stocks as well it would be nice, but not necessary.

www.goldsenze.com Answer:

Check out the fx options at saxobank.

Q: Can anyone help me pick a solid fx broker? – goldsenze

FAQ: Can anyone help me pick a solid fx broker?

I’m planning on opening a forex trading account, and have done a lot of research and have finally decided between the following brokers: FXCM, FxPro, AVAfx. I was just wondering if anyone whose actually used any of these brokers or is an fx trader could give me a bit of first hand input on the platform reliability and functionality and customer service. thank you.

Goldsenze Answer:

Go with FXCM in combination with this: http://tinyurl.com/3tcla4v

It’s the largest site for Forex strategies in the world. It’s compatible with FXCM. In fact, here is the page on FXCM you’ll need to use to upgrade your FXCM account to work with the strategies there: http://www.fxcm.com/zulutrade-fss-lod.js… (or http://www.fxcm.co.uk/zulutrade-lod-form… for the UK)

How to know that a forex broker has no dealing desk as he claims? – goldsenze.com

FAQ: How to know that a forex broker has no dealing desk as he claims?

My forex broker claims that he is a straight through processing (STP) broker and has no dealing desk.
What makes me doubt he is an STP broker is the minimum deposit to open an account ( only 5 $ ) and I accidently saw on the internet that stp brokers require at least 300- 500$ to open an account. Further more, my broker sometimes doesnt automatically close my positions at the price wanted which makes me doubt again that he is STP.

Goldsenze Answer:

Most dealing desk brokers have fixed spreads. If you see a broker who’s spreads are constantly changing multiple times per second, then that is a no dealing desk broker. Look for brokers that show both the bid and ask price at the same time.

FAQ: how can we rate a broker in terms of safety and reliability? – goldsenze.com

Q: how can we rate a broker in terms of safety and reliability?

In Forex, there are many brokers and that makes me a little skeptical , what are the standards that I may use to determine if the broker is safe and reliable or not, It will be great if you recommend any reliable names
thanks a lot

www.goldsenze.com Answer:

Average annual return for clients, and the standard deviation of the returns from his clients.

Average annual return is awesome, except that it paints part of the picture. The standard deviation will basically indicate if his returns are consistent or are scattered. You want to find the appropriate standard deviation you are willing to take on according the the ideal return you are looking for.

A broker can sit down with you and go over specifics. Recommendations are again only going to paint a small part of the picture. You are going to have those that absolutely love the broker. And those that absolutely hate the broker who felt like they could have made a higher return elsewhere
